Sunflower Scholarship

In an effort to assist the social and emotional well-being of children and families escaping conflict in Ukraine who are arriving in New York, Usdan is offering Ukrainian refugee children the opportunity to attend camp this summer on a full scholarship.

Update 6/23/22: At this time, we have reached our capacity for Sunflower Scholarships in all sessions of camp this summer. Should you like to add your name to our waitlist for our Classic: 4-Week B or Rec. Camp: Weeks 5 - 8, please email enrollment@usdan.org (Subject: Sunflower Scholarship Waitlist).

Named after Ukraine's national flower, which has become a symbol of resistance, the Sunflower Scholarship is open to refugee children ages 5 to 18 for any session length this summer.

In addition, scholarships are available for the children of local residents who are housing Ukrainian refugee children. We hope to do all we can to alleviate the struggles these children face – to give them the opportunity to be in nature, join a welcoming community, connect with other students, and make art this summer.

If you know a recently arrived Ukrainian child currently living on Long Island or in New York City who is in need of a summer camp experience, please reach out to us.
