What's New With U? Week 4

We are already feeling nostalgic about these past four weeks...

It's hard to believe that Session A of Usdan is already over - what an amazing four weeks it has been!

This past week has been full of excitement on campus. We enjoyed another week full of student performances at Festival and in the Theater Department. Daily Festival performances are available to watch anytime on our YouTube channel.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the U Benefit this past Wednesday! The day was full of open studios, a comic-con, fashion show, and performances by our Artists in Residence - The Knights and Superhero Clubhouse. One of the highlights of the day was Festival, where we entertained by our talented students and were treated to special performances by a Piano major, The Usdan Troupe, and the youngest members of the Usdan family, the Discovery Students! Their performance centered around our theme for this session, Imagination. The students showed us how our imaginations can turn a simple box into all kinds of fun! They sang a medley of songs, entertaining their fellow students, parents, visitors and staff. The day was capped off by the Splash Bash pool party with live jazz!

JOIN THE SUMMER VOLUNTEER ENSEMBLE

We are in search of volunteers from our Usdan community to help on campus this summer!

We especially need your help on our U Benefit days: Wednesday, August 16.

We are looking for a large group of people to ensure that every day at Usdan runs as smoothly as possible. The Usdan community thrives on the assistance our volunteer ensemble provides. Volunteers will also get to experience and enjoy all that occurs on campus. CAMP SHOTS

Usdan's photographer travels around the campus daily capturing photos of our students and the joys of camp. In addition to photos shared in our Newsletter and on Instagram, you can view photos on our Flickr.

INSTANT SHOTS

In the mornings, we bring a Polaroid camera to the Green Sign to greet the students as they head off to their classes. At the end of the day, students can collect their pictures as a small momento of this summer at Usdan.

Calendar Highlights: Week 5

Here is what's coming up next week!

When visiting campus you are invited to have lunch with members of Usdan's leadership team. On every performance or exhibition day, we host lunches for Usdan parents, supporters, grandparents and caregivers. Lunches are held backstage in the McKinley Amphitheater, typically at 1:15pm. Lunch times are set so as not to conflict with the activities you are coming to see.
