Justin Mark

Justin Marks is a band director in the Long Beach Public School system and has worked with ensembles at every age level. He has brought his middle school and high school bands and jazz bands to NYSSMA Majors; receiving awards of gold and gold with distinction. Justin is a certified NYSSMA judge and has given lectures and taught workshops in woodwind performance throughout New York. He spends the Summer as the instructor of woodwinds at the USDAN Summer Camp for the Arts where he teaches groups lessons and coaches chamber music ensembles. As an in-demand private saxophone teacher, Justin has helped numerous students with their acceptances into prestigious colleges and universities for music, as well as into SCMEA All County and NYSSMA All-State ensembles. A versatile performer through multiple genres of music, he performs classically with the Long Island Wind Ensemble, and is in demand as a jazz and commercial saxophonist for weddings, production events, and various projects throughout the tri-state area. He holds a Master’s degree in saxophone performance from the Herberger Institute of the Arts at Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam.
