Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts provides young artists a summer of top-tier arts education and classic day camp fun. We offer 1-, 4-, and 8-week sessions for grades K–12. This year's season runs June 28–August 20, 2027.

commitment to affordability
Since our founding in 1968, we have been dedicated to making Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts affordable to all students. We aim to ensure that cost is not a barrier for any child wishing to attend. On average 45% of Usdan students receive assistance.
We strongly encourage families to take advantage of tuition assistance, merit-based scholarships, and payment plans.

Programs at Usdan
| Usdan's Discovery Program for Grades K–1 | 4-week & 8-week sessions | Surrounded by Usdan’s woodland campus, and using the Discovery Center as a base, children have experiences in Music, Art, Dance, Nature & Sustainability, Theater, and Recreational Arts led by professional artists and educators. Two college-age counselors help guide each small group throughout their adventurous day, fostering a safe, nurturing, and positive atmosphere while also creating a variety of engaging activities that are tailored to students’ interests. |

| Usdan's Music Program for Grades 2–12 | 4-week & 8-week sessions | If you love to sing, play, or compose music, explore our Music classes in our Classic Program. Each camp day, Music students have two hours of instrumental or vocal instruction in a Major of their choosing — Concert Band, Orchestra, Vocal Ensemble, Piano, or Composition— one hour in a Minor class of their choice, and one hour of a Recreational Activity of their choosing. |
| Usdan's Theater Program for Grades 2–12 | 4-week & 8-week sessions | If you love to perform, explore our Theater classes and then take a look at our Classic Program. From acting to improv, musical theater to the accomplished Usdan Troupe, theater students learn how to develop characters, improvise scenes, perform songs for the stage and more under the expert guidance of professional theater educators and performers. |
| Usdan's Dance Program for grades 2–12 | 4-week & 8-week sessions | From modern to contemporary dance, salsa to hip-hop, ballet to jazz — all styles are welcome at Usdan! Come practice your moves and learn new styles from acclaimed dancers and choreographers. If you're a dancer, review our Dance classes and find the Major that's right for you. Then create your curriculum by enrolling in our Classic Program. |
| Usdan's Art Program for grades 2–12 | 4-week & 8-week sessions | Calling all painters, fashion designers, cartoonists, photographers, sculptures, ceramicists, jewelry makers! Explore our diverse offering of art classes—including Sewing and Fashion Design taught by experienced art educators and professional fashion designers—choose an art Major that speaks to you and design your own course of study by enrolling in our Classic Program. |
| Usdan's Rec Camp for grades 2–8 | 1-week sessions | Usdan’s Recreational Camp Program provides an opportunity for students to experience the beauty of Usdan’s wooded campus and recreational spaces, including its swimming pools and archery range, and to join Usdan's welcoming and inclusive community, while having fun, being active, and making new friends. |

Transportation
Usdan offers transportation from Nassau and Suffolk counties as well as from Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn. Bus transportation via central pickup locations is included in tuition for Usdan’s 8-, 4-, and 1-week summer arts camp sessions. Limited door-to-door bus transportation is available for Usdan’s 8- and 4-week sessions in certain Long Island areas for an additional fee.
