Our third week of the season illustrated how Usdan students, staff, faculty, and families have united to prioritize our collective health and safety.

Classes were frequently spotted out of their studios and in nature, taking advantage of the abundance of outdoor space we have on campus. With thoughtfulness, we welcomed our second group of parents and caregivers who visited as audience members for Wednesday's delightful performance by some of our Instrumental Ensemble Majors. Secruity Guards, Safety Monitors, and Dean and Health Office staff watched over us with care. We stayed cool and recharged by relaxing in the shade with friends, refilling our water bottles, practicing deep breathing on our yoga mats, and running through the misters around campus.

CAMP SHOTS

Usdan's photographer travels around the campus daily attempting to capture every studio. In addition to photos shared in our Newsletter and on Instagram, we will share a photo of every cohort with parents and caregivers. 

WHAT DO YOU SMELL AT USDAN?

Throughout the week, our students took the time to stop, unmask safely, and breathe in the fresh air noticing the many smells of Usdan. Enjoy listening to their perspectives below and reading a poem inspired by what they expressed.

At Usdan?

Flowers and
Nature and
The very earth itself.

We are greeted 
By grassiness
And fresh air
All of the best 
Parts of
Swimming in
The pool
All of the foods
I wish I had
In my lunchbox.

Even fresh berries
With a questioning 
Of where they are
And the sheer amusement
Of discovering they
Are right near
