USDAN SUMMER CAMP FOR THE ARTS LAUNCHED “UNIQUELY U”— ITS FIRST-EVER SCHOLARSHIP SEARCH

Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts launched their first-ever scholarship search, Uniquely U.  Celebrating creativity and self-expression, the search asked artists ages 7 through 18 and in grades 2 through 12, from across New York City, Westchester, and Long island, to submit samples of their work in creative writing; or visual and performing arts to be considered for a full scholarship to the day camp this summer. 

Applications and search parameters were outlined on UU.Usdan.org. The deadline was March 12th, and the winners were announced on uu.usdan.org. 9 young artists received full seven-week scholarships to Usdan for the Summer 2018 season, including tuition and transportation from across New York City, Long Island or southern Westchester.

“In honor of our 50th anniversary – and inspired by this commitment to supporting creativity and arts education for young people across New York and Long Island, we were thrilled to launch ‘Uniquely U’,” says Lauren Brandt Schloss, Executive Director of Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts. “We want kids to share with us their unique perspectives and voices with regard to art, creation, and connection.”
